1095 High Carbon

A favorite steel for many knifemakers, 1095 has a carbon content of .95% allowing it to harden well and reducing the amount of wear that a blade will experience over time.

Once you have mastered heat treating 1095, excellent effects and hamons can be created.

AEB-L is an excellent stainless steel used in a variety of sharp-edged applications. If you used a razor to shave today, you’ve used it. AEB-L is increasingly popular among the knife making community in general due to its all around efficiency.
